Been seeing more threads on the net about John Titor since the New Orleans disaster. It's an interesting political discussion around his tale more than anything scientific in my opinion.

What? You don't believe? tisk, tisk, tisk. I find that the funniest thing was that the price of an IBM 5100 went from 50 bucks to a grand on ebay after he told his tale. Maybe he had an IBM 5100 to sell and wanted to jack the price up. Even the Bible Code guy couldn't get a much of a bead on him. My favorite, though, was time travel with a 66 corvette...with a shotgun strapped to it. Sounds like he watched too much Terminator. The comments he had on the country being divided into 5 countries were interesting, though. Especially in light of his mentioning that we would move to a federal police force holding people without due process. Almost sounds like a jump back to the 1880's populist party thinking.
