First Iraq, a country with large amount petroleum. Now Venezuela, other country with petroleum, has problems with Bush. Ummm, maybe, We go to observe a declaration that would said that Venezuela has weapons of Mass Destruction? I hope that the Big Man, no attack the Latin Country of Venezuela.
from one Latin to another: don't worry History teaches us that, if simply left alone, Venezuela will attack itself.
I haven't the slightest idea. Maybe Trinidad and Tobago will declare Venezuela a renegade province, and...
What a MESS Venezuela is! The Bush administration mis stepped badly when it recognized the military junta before the junta could consolidate power. Hugo Chavez is no friend to the U.S. and I don't like him one bit but he WAS apparently elected. Our backing a coup d' etat smelled a lot like "CIA business as usual" in Latin America. And of course, where oil is involved, nobody trusts anybody these days. Add to this the enormous anger and frustration of many Venezuelans against Chavez' "reforms" and civil war looks likely.
Colombia maybe? Actually, Colombia and Venezuela are perilously close to war. This is one of the most underreported news stories in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if the US is not behind the foment (not that there is anything wrong with that). Whatever legitimacy Hugo Chavez had following the election has been squandered as he huddles with Fidel and clamps down on freedom in the true Cuba Communist style. Castro is acting increasingly crazy in his old age. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Cuba comes to Venezuela's aid in the event of war with Colombia . What then, will the US do? Stay tuned. All this focus on Iraq, Taiwan, and Iran, but the real action could be shaping up in the western hemisphere.
Exactly. That's what's behind it -- Venezuelan support of FARC: http://www.ict.org.il/inter_ter/orgdet.cfm?orgid=37
