I didn't know Saddam Hussein was back in power. Add my name to those who express sorrow!

    Very educational.

I think it points out the level of debate generally engaged in by the left. "I am sorry that 51% of America is ****** stupid" is so informative. I thought the left was the party populated by the educated and articulate. But I am a conservative, what do i know:)

LOL! Maybe we should send them all to Boca Raton to get therapy for PEST.

What babies! Face it, YOU LOST because you are OUT OF TOUCH with America!

How appropriate the acronym because these people are just that, PESTS!

I hear Kerry is going to introduce a bill in the Senate (where he still is) that would award a purple heart to all those suffering from PEST.

typical Con 51% represents a slight majority - but it hardly means you are out of touch. The penjalum will swing back the other way in 10 or so years and all of you Karl Rove types will have to crawl back into your respective holes.

(Karl Rove and Tom Delay - now there is a pair. If there were ever two men I would like to see self-descruct on their own rhetoric - and they will - I will enjoy the day. History will show these men as little peons not worth what you flush down the toilet)

Much more than Bill Clinton ever managed. Bill never got a majority, only a plurality.

President Bush won by a 3-million vote margin. Deal with it.

Hey I'm sorry. Most of the folks in England are sorry too. We just reelected the biggest joke in history. Another four years of a stupid pointless war, and the country will be ready for a change. It's going to be a LONG four years, though, with Bozo at the helm.

    Succinct and to the point.

  13. I'm sorry too, but not nearly as "sorry" as those sad sacks in those photographs. Gives all of us liberals a bad name.....

Deal with it, move on, make a life, make money, try to live in peace with your neighbors, and be decent to those who disagree with you - some advice for liberals and conservatives alike.

Agreed. I thought Clinton was a joke for the 8 years he was in office, but I didn't cry and complain or moan and groan. He was our president, whether I liked him or loathed him, and as our president he deserved a certain level of respect.

As for Bush, whether you like him or loathe him, he earned a majority vote by the public, and the most votes by any president ever. He, like Clinton, deserves a certain level of respect. For the good of our country and our society, let's stop complaining and hurling insults...those that insist of hurling insults at this president are also insulting over half of the country. So even if you loathe Bush, let's treat your fellow countrymen with some respect. Let's move on.

Most of those people look like they don't have enough sense to pour water out of a boot with the directions written on the heel. Oh wait, they really don't.

Ummm...no. After that unrelenting crapfest thrown at Clinton, I think you can count on us not playing nice either.

The Great Divide isn't just about perception-it's about REALITY, too!

That the left aligns with our busy elites here and elswhere should raise the suspiciions of anyone loudly claiming to be looking out the oppressed little people everywhere.

But we see such unaccountable hypocrisy - the lefts comfortable embrace of idpol and intellectual conformism in place of genuine analytical thinking - all the time!!!

Consider this Reuters story "U.S. Calls for Reform Clash with Arab Demands," Sat Dec 11th.

    http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/nm/20041211/wl_nm/mideast_forum_dc

Colin Powell told Arab leaders that they must reform their despotic governments to combat terrorism. Arabs and Europeans, however, prefer to continue blaming everything on Israel and the US.

"Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, dismissing any ideas of 'clashes of civilizations' between the Western and Arab worlds, said 'the real bone of contention' was a perceived bias on the part of the United States toward Israel.

'It remains to be seen if for the first time we can be honest with each other and commit ourselves to ending the Arab-Israeli conflict,' he told delegates.

"European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana agreed, but in different terms. 'The problem of insecurity in Iraq and the peace process in the Middle East need to take momentum' to ensure ideas floated at the forum bear fruit, he told Reuters."

"While ministers talked behind closed doors, about 150 human rights activists and Islamists tried to stage a sit-in outside the Foreign Ministry building." Why are 'Human rights activists' together with Islamists? How can the friends of our enemies really be our friends? They can't! And that's what the US rejection of Kerry means'

Yet this was once their claim to being progressive: it meant being on the side of the oppressed and ignored - not the dictators, kleptocrats, and wealthy - not the people of rank and privelidge, not those beholden to sinecures like the UN!

Simultaneously, the left ignores the deeper issues and divides within the Middle East while simplistically blaming the US!

"The Iraq Effect? Muslim anti-Americanism is mostly hot air" in The Wall Street Journal December 11th @Y MICHAEL SCOTT DORAN, (Princeton Near Eastern Studies prof), writes:

"Those who argue that the Iraq war has been a great boon to al Qaeda [like John Kerry] are selectively reading the talk coming out of the Arab world, and paying no attention to its actions. Anti-Americanism is a clever alibi, but hardly a unifying force across the great divides of a society."

Amer Taheri amplifies this contradiction of conventionalism in his Ramadan visit to thjer Middle East:

"When it came to ordinary people, almost no one ever mentioned the Palestine issue, even on days when Yasser Arafat's death dominated the headlines. When I asked them about issues that most preoccupied them, farmers, shopkeepers, taxi drivers and office workers never mentioned Palestine.

"But when I talked to princes and princesses, business tycoons, high officials, and the glitterati of Arab academia, Palestine was the ur-issue.

"The reason why the elites fake passion about this issue is that it is the only one on which they agree. In many cases, it is also the only political issue that people can discuss without running into trouble with the secret services."

    (Jerusalem Post, 2 December
    http://www.benadorassociates.com/article/9792)

He concludes: "Right now there are 22 active conflicts across the globe in which Muslims are involved. Most Muslims have not even heard of most of them because those conflicts do not provide excuses for fomenting hatred against the United States.

"Next time you hear someone say the US was in trouble in the Muslim world because of Israel, remember that things may not be that simple."

And WE ought to kowtow to another Eastern elitists like Kerry? And this rejection surprises the left!!? Come on, now!

We could say that the left is superficial about the complex and complicates the obvious, but that would really piss off their overweening sense of superiority!

Of course they didn't have to take time off from their jobs to pose for these pictures, because they probably don't have jobs.

They all have that worried look on their faces, as though their welfare checks will be cut off!
