I'm encouraged that Abbas seems to be the guy to take over things now. He's much more moderate than was Arafat...and he's not an advocate of the armed attacks and suicide bombings the Palestinians have been using. It will be interesting to see if he can get the radicals to rally behind him or whether we'll see a division. Pug
Where did my post go? With all due respect to the moderators of this truly valuable forum, I am dismayed as to why mine, along with the other derogatory ones were deleated. I have gained invaluable advice from educated and respected members on this site, but have also read my fair share of bashing islam as a religion. I am just curious as to why when someone posts something opposing the norm it gets deleated?....just curious
The moderator that deleted the posts was FAIR. He deleted mine (a Republican) and Mr. Engineer's (a Democrat) as well as the other posts that were offensive or inappropriate It's all good. He's just doing his job.

If GW were truly a man of his faith, he would condemn Sharon for his actions and warn Israel that continued support of Sharon as thier leader will result in sanctions. (of course that won't happen because politics always seems to be more important than real convictions)

There are powerful Jewish-Americans in the political, entertainment, and business arena. They will not allow sanctions against Israel. And no, this is not an anti-Jew statement. It's a fact.
It seems that everytime you make a negative comment about Israel, you are deemed an anti-semite. That fact is if Israel does not serve our best interests, we have no business supporting them. Sharon is not Israel nor does he represent the total Jewish community. He is a terrorist that just happens to be and Israeli Jew. I know that some members will do their typical labelling. With that type of thinking, I guess being anti-Kerry should be deemed being bigoted against Catholics.
If an Israelite kills an Arab / Muslim, it is called "self-defense." If an Arab / Muslim kills an Israelite, it is called "terrorism." Double standard.
