You know, when folks select Laura Bush over her charming and gutsy mother-in-law Barbara--and Nancy Reagan, for that matter--by a 9-1 margin, it's clear that election year fever has kicked in....

    Cheers,

    Tom,
While I liked Barbara, I like Laura even better. At least for me, this is not an election year thing, I really thing Laura's got it goin' on.

Boy you forgot the obvious, Eleanor Roosevelt. Practically ran the domestic programs( the left over programs of the New Deal) during World War II and was the first representative to the United Nations......:)

When are we going to have the first gentleman?

And is the vice-president's wife the "second lady"?

And were Sally, Marilyn, and Monica "first girlfriends"?

Until Laura Bush, Roselyn Carter was my favorite First Lady with Pat Nixon running very close.

Laura Bush, Roselyn Carter, Pat Nixon, and Jackie Kennedy are my favorites.

Least liked are Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, Betty Ford, and Lady Bird Johnson.

However, I will take any of the ones I don't like over Mrs. Heinz-Kerry any day of the week.

I do like Elizabeth Edwards, however.

I personally liked Hilary. She certainly rocked the boat and made the neo-cons shake in their boots.

I am not impressed by Laura. So she has a Masters in Library Science. I was laughing at her recent comments about stem cell research. Come on Laura, you are not a scientist or doctor, quit trying to act like one. If you don't like it for religious reasons, say so. Trying to come off like an expert make you look very silly.

Personally I like first ladies who are not afraid to voice thier own opinions even if it is different that the President. It shows both character and the ability to come out of the shadow of their husbands.

    Hey, Mr. Engineer! Welcome back!

BTW...I still want to verify your claim the you are a former police officer. Please PM me with the relevant information.

I won't hold my breath, but I will continually hound you until you either provide the verifiable information, or admit that you're a fraud.

As far as the First Ladies.....

Hillary Clinton has a law degree. Does that make her a scientist or a doctor?

    No?

Then why did she try to implement a national health care system on us? Wasn't she a bit outside her area of expertise? Didn't she look a bit silly trying to look like an expert on that situation?

Heard on the news that had Clinton's health care system been enacted, he would have died because he would have had to wait 48 hours for treatment!
