    Question about business courses

I got another question about teaching online. I just came across a job posting in higher education requiring me to have an MBA which I will have soon and a total of 18 credit hours in business courses. My MBA has MGT, MKT, ACC , FIN among others. Would these all count as business courses or should I think about it being 18 credit hours in one specific concentration? The job posting is as follows:

Education Minimum: MBA , Masters including 18 graduate hours in business courses
    Education Preferred: MBA
    BS BA
    MBA ~ in progress
    DBA ~ undecided

Yes, it should, but it often isn't. Many schools require 18 hours specifically in the business discipline to be taught, e.g., BUS or MGT.

I have definitely seen/known my fair share of folks with general MBAs with courses in a number of different areas who were able to teach in one or multiple different areas. This listing actually seems pretty loosely worded which would seem to me like the school is more open to those who may have a more generalized MBA and not necessarily 18 graduate hours in a particular MBA discipline, especially if it is not AACSB accredited .

I think the requirements will depend on the business schools.

This is typically the case. Where I teach, I have my MBA in healthcare management , but I can teach general business courses.
