I am looking for an online adjunct to teach ACCT 110 - Intro to Managerial Accounting this fall at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. The course is developed; the instructor would just need to review materials before starting and to tweak the course. Preferred qualifications are a doctoral degree in accounting with 5 years professional experience; required qualifications are a masters degree in accounting with 5 years. This would be a good opportunity for someone to dip a toe in the water and see if they'd like to take the plunge into academia, but I'm honestly wondering, in a market where PhDs in accounting and ABDs almost a year from defending are being vigorously courted by desperate universities who are throwing $150K to $180K contracts in their faces, where you're going to find a PhD in accounting willing to even consider an online adjunct slot.
