    The video discusses three strong trends in college adjuncting:

    1. Low pay of adjuncts.

    2. Plummeting tenure over the last 35+ years i.e. farming out McTeaching to low paid adjuncts who have no job security.

    3. And the new variable: Reduced adjunct teach opportunities, due to the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) e.g. colleges are required to pay health insurance to any employee who works 30+ hours weekly, so to get around that law, colleges simply:
    a) Reduced teaching opportunities for low paid adjuncts and
    b) Hired more low paid adjuncts to "spread the workload around."

    It was a very informative video.
