Teaching presentation? But all my classes are asynchronous!

    Has anyone who teaches only online had to give a 10-minute teaching presentation? What did you do?

    You have to record in video or webcast recording. Pretending you are deliver your presentation live in front of your students, except you do not have live question from the audiences. CourseRA professors are good at doing this...

    Not quite the same thing, but one time for a corporate training position doing curriculum development, I had to prepare and deliver a twenty minute lecture in their conference room on SQL joins. I never taught in the classroom there, but I suppose it makes sense that you'd want curriculum developers who at least understand how classroom teaching works if they're going to be developing materials for it.

    Some online instructors record lectures for students to watch any time.

    I teach online and most often record my presentations. They are usually live camera and PP slides. They range from one to two hour long "cybercasts".

    To pass the CCT+ I had to make a recorded presentation front of a live audience.
