Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. I just finished all of the coursework for my program, but the degree won't be conferred until May. Would I be wasting my time if I start applying for adjunct positions now?

Well, you don't want to get rejected by a school who might accept you later; it doesn't resonate well.

If you're interested in a particular school, why don't you check with them?

Oh, and don't be surprised to find that some schools require a minimum amount of professional experience after you earn your masters. One-to-three years is common (where this restriction is in use).
