It's not that I believe this particular conspiracy theory, because I don't, it seems like the sort of subterfuge that would be too easy in which to poke holes. But I can't help but think that if concealment and deceit weren't central to the culture of high levels of government, it would make it easier to dismiss these sorts of theories out of hand.

I actually am a bit conspiracy minded myself and don't consider it to be a paranoid tendency. I think we all recognize that our government (all governments) and many other organizations keep secrets and they do this for very good reasons. It's always just a question of "where does the line get drawn." A truly paranoid person does not draw the line anywhere and so sees the plots everywhere. I prefer to leave it up to the Illuminatti to sort it all out.

Obviously, I can see how certain military matters and criminal investigations are pointless without secrecy. But I expect most of their secrets are good only for the people who keep them.

    A "left field" thought--
I don't think you necessarily have to have paranoia to be a conspiracy theorist-- Asperger's may be involved. Why? "Aspies" (people with Asperger's) tend to be VERY good at finding patterns. I can imagine a bright person with borderline Asperger's monitoring events and communications, finding trends/patterns that would lead to certain conclusions that other people wouldn't even notice.

In the few articles and videos I have seen about this, the professor hasn't made any statements to the effect that he actually believes in a conspiracy or cover up, only that the media has not done a good job in its investigation- potentially leaving great room for such a conspiracy or cover up to have occurred right under everyone's noses and we'd be oblivious to it. If that is all he is really saying, then he might actually have a good point. Again, if that is the case, then it would be extremely ironic how the media has blown his statements out of proportion.

Are you saying this about me? I know you are, don't try to deny it. You and your friends have been plotting against me for a long time. :Eyecrazy:

    Straight from the ass's mouth:

I think his use of "alleged father" speaks to Tracy's belief.

Speaking of the medical examiner's press conference:

Or more likely he is emotionally and physically drained from having stayed up all night overseeing the autopsies of twenty schoolchildren, to say nothing of how nonsensical Tracy's thesis on this point is in the first place.
