Ok, so I have been asked to put together a professonial proposal packet and they have requested I include my vitae. I'm an educator and know that at the univerisity level a CV is normal, but I'm at the community college level. I have only ever done a resume and I'm not sure how to translate that into a vitae. The samples I saw online have large areas for publications and research, neither of which I have done.

Does anyone have a good reference website or experience to help me figure out how to convert my resume to a vitae without having a lot of blank spaces? To make matters worse, they only gave me a week to get this done. I'm hopeful that with all the educators here someone will have some great advice on how to figure this out.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Marianne, I think in your case a vitae would just be a normal resume, with education and training or teaching experience at the top, followed by work experience. Since you are not applying for a job, the normal advice of listing classes and interests to meet the needs of the position are not needed.
