Most of my courses are IT related so APA is not the top concern. I had an instructor use WritePoint. Here is what was at the beginning of the paper:

Welcome to WritePoint, the automated review system that recognizes errors most commonly made by university students in academic essays. The system embeds comments into your paper and suggests possible changes in grammar and style. Please evaluate each comment carefully to ensure that the suggested change is appropriate for your paper, but remember that your instructor's preferences for style and format prevail. You will also need to review your own citations and references since WritePoint capability in this area is limited. Please see the other helpful writing resources in the Tutorials and Guides section of the Center for Writing Excellence. Thank you for using WritePoint.

Here is what would be generated, the text was mine and the bold was what was placed in (does that make sense?)

The possible theories are that the employee feels they [Pronoun agreement: since the antecedent (?<wrd>) is singular, the pronoun(s) must be singular (he or she)] are in the "out-group" (Mardanov, Heischmidt, & Henson, 2008; Truckenbrodt, 2000), the employee does not trust the manager (Wilson, O'Leary, Metiu, & Jett, 2008), or the communication levels do not meet the employee’s expectations, which this study will explore. To assist in illustrating the framework, a graphical representation of conditions and outcomes is included in Appendix B.

It looks like WritePoint is an UoP tool. Sorry-

I use write-point for those student papers that need a lot of feedback...so much so that it would take me an hour or so to correct it. I add my own notations and remove the few write-point suggestions that make no sense.
