I am seeking a teaching job that I can use my two degrees in however I have not had any luck because no one seems to value what can be provided to them. I do not understand this. I am turning to this board in the hopes that someone here can at least tell me where I can turn to for DL teaching insights.

I have an MBA in Finance and I have a B.S. in Management Information Systems. Due to the economy it has been very difficult to obtain a job so I have been staying in school to continue my education on top of building my entrepreneur business (HTML development, CSS, planning and implementation)

Anyway. One of the issues I have come across is I am having difficulty with the most previous place I took my MBA at, they did not help me obtain a job; that's one. Secondly, as I stated the economy was bad; that's two. So it brings up the question, why is it that no one is hiring? Is it one or two or both in combination?

I greatly appreciate anyone who can provide me with some feedback on how to reach out and obtain assistance on this matter. I am not happy because I was ignored from the previous college who provided me with an MBA. If I thought I could sue :chairshot:I would as they did not perform their job duties.

I am confused, what duties did they not perform? There is a thread in this section that lists many schools available to teach for, did you look at it? Do you have practical experience to complement your degree? Do you have teaching experience? The answers may help to gain a clearer picture.

Put it to you simply, I live in IA, the college is in SD, they did not provide me any type of job assistance in my state. That clear enough for you?

At any rate... please provide me the link to where I can find this job listing that you are referring to. I have done some searching on my own and via Linked In and a few other URLs I have come across some links to how I can possibly get my feet wet and start teaching online which is what I want to do. I have worked as an executive, yes. I've also worked as a database administrator for a small business. My most previous position has been working as a small business entrepreneur which interestingly I am finding many persons are quite interested to discuss my knowledge of small business. I am constantly writing about it in a blog on a daily basis and those that read the business blog are quite impressed with the information I share which is why I want to begin teaching and get paid for the knowledge which I know.

:sgrin:See that little search box thingie on the top of this DegreeInfo page? Type in 'online teaching positions' (or jobs) and at least 400 links such as this will come up: Online & DL Teaching

    Wishing you the best.....:eek:h:

The Search function will help you find it. There is just too much to list one link. Did the school ever say they offered assistance in finding a job? Just curious because if they did I would be surprised.

In all of my educational pursuits, I must have missed the part where the school I attended for a graduate program is supposed to find me a job. I hate to break it to you, but good luck getting hired for an online teaching job these days with just an MBA. You may have an MBA in Finance, but that is not a graduate degree in Finance which is going to be required at most places to teach finance. However, I do think if there are any schools out there looking for an arrogant jerk with a sense of entitlement you are set!

Maybe just a frustrated person. Let's give the OP the benefit of our doubt until we know more. But I do agree that education does not come with a work guarantee!

Well, that name hasn't really been use much since elementary school.... so you can call me just plain old Bob if you want :knockedout: My style varies with the threads  but I do think frustration has something to do with the OP tone!

Nope! Hell, my name is Abner. I think the name "bobbyJim" is cool. Of course, most of my school mates came around to liking my name. If they didn't, the got their arsses kicked! My name stands "OUT" nowadays.
