I have been promoted to Associate Professor!

I received notice today that I will be promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor at APUS in January 2012. I am very stoked - APUS is a great place to work. The criteria for this promotion is extensive and it validates my belief that I am pretty good at the online teaching thing. Time for a nice celebratory IPA (or two, maybe three)!

Way to go! That is great news! Do you think your recent DPA had a major or any impact on this decision?

Thanks Randell. A Doctorate was one of the promotion criteria. Other criteria included course evaluations, professional activities, professional development, and other service activities within APUS.

    Congrats!

Not bad for an Eagle grad (Cheney, WA type)

Imagine a large corporate machine mobilized to get you to buy something you don't need at a tremendously inflated cost, complete with advertising, marketing, and branding that says you're not hip if you don't have one, but when you get one you discover it's of poor quality and obsolete in ten months. That's a BA.

I could not get my wife (Class of '97) excited enough to try and get tickets to a home playoff game last year during that run. We lived in Spokane and there were a lot of excited Eagle's. Couple of friends actually hopped on a plane to go watch the Championship game.

Now, if we can get my Cougs to a bowl game I could be happy. Actually I'd be happy with a win in the Apple Cup and maybe a .500 record in the Pac-12. But God only has so much power.

Hey, don't rub it in. I was on the other end of that EWU victory, watching my Blue Hens blow a 19 pt. lead in the last 20 mins. to let the championship slip away, 20-19. I walked around in shock the whole next day...But congrats on the promotion anyway!

Good game. My favorite part was watching Joe Biden gloat at halftime and then looking like someone kicked his puppy in the remaining minutes of the game.

Nice job! :-) I truly enjoyed the courses I took with APU. If they start offering doctorates, I'll be on them like white on rice.

Hit the colon once, then type the word banana, then hit the colon again and what you get is this.
