Folks, this information just surfaced on the NCU Learners YahooGroups forum:

Central University is not accredited yet, it was started by a group of educators in the Bay area. Pay for faculty is 49 per student, or so.....

There are opportunities to develop courses. May be a good place to develop your creds in online course development/teaching eventually.

I wish them well...but I wish they would remove the statement about DETC from the site.

I know what you mean. The percentage of applicants to DETC who eventually get accredited is something like 30%. So talking about DETC all matter-of-factly like that is one seriously forward-looking statement.

Pay is about the same as TUI but I wouldn't take this school seriously as it is hosted at a free web server (Webs - Make a free website, get free hosting) with a free domain.

Anyone can say that they will be accredited in the future and anyone can open a web site from a free web server. I would be hesitant to send my resume as they might just need "names" to put in a catalog in order to attract students.

LOL, it just amazes me that some people think we were born yesterday. The online school scam is really old and don't think it fools many at this point. In particular when the fraudster is not even willing to invest $10 bucks for a domain and web hosting.
