I would have to say that you are unlikely to land any sort of online teaching job with just a BA. If you have a teaching certificate and some experience then you might be qualified to apply for a job teaching online high school but I'd be willing to bet that even these people generally have Masters degrees. It's very competitive and minimum qualifications are rarely enough. If you read through the threads in this forum I think you'll see what I mean.

If you're interested in an MA in Pysch and English, might I recommend Western New Mexico University's MAIS program? :)

Although a degree from WNMU with those emphases would technically qualify a person to teach both psych & English, is it realistic to think a person actually could? I'm not suggesting it's impossible, it just seems unlikely given the kind of discussions I've read here and the number of graduates (ex, MA in English) that are unable to find teaching positions. I don't want the OP to have unrealistic plans.

Based on what I've heard/read, every Masters level therapist in the world is looking for some kind of part-time gig to make some extra money. Even someone with a newly minted Masters degree has to go up against people who've been in the field for years and years. Like emmzee, while I don't want to discourage someone's ambitions but I also don't want to see someone heavily in debt with a degree that won't get them where they want to go. In my neighborhood you cant's get a teaching job in Psych or English without AT LEAST a PhD. On top of that you've got to have experience, publications, etc. Granted, I live in the Northeast USA where PhDs drive taxi cabs but I don't think it's hugely different elsewhere.

I think one has to be realistic about ones expectations. In fields such as Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Math, English, etc, it is not very realistic to expect an adjunct position with an online MA from a low tier school.
One has to be careful and aim for the credential that can lead to the desired goal and not dream.

There are some people that in spite having degrees from low tiers schools, they make it because they have many years of working experience to back up their resumes. However, one cannot be naive enough to expect to finish an online MA from a low tier school and expect that doors will open automatically,
