Hi - Your post is a little cryptic. What are you trying to teach? Why would your list of schools help someone else? Here's my list so maybe we don't need to bother with a lot of redundancy.

    Hi there,

This could be for everyone wanting to teach online. I found a list of For-Profit Schools on this website. If you download it, it will be in Microsoft Excel Format. There are about 102 schools listed. http://www.laurakazan.com/list.aspx

    Thanks,

If it makes you feel any better, I began on late 2006 and I literally submitted over 100 applications. Everyone wants experience but no one appears to want to give it to you. I have found that, like anything else, luck and being at the right place at the right time along with persistency is what helps the most... Also, knowing someone who is already employed as an adjunct who will recommend you appears to be of great assistance as well.
    Good luck to you!
Also, as mentioned earlier, what are you looking to teach?

Any recommendations for someone that wants to teach general business courses? I'm just looking to make some extra cash. Also, what tends to be the time requirement per week when teaching an online course?

I teach accounting and tax, and I spend on average 2-3 hrs per night on online courses, or roughly 15-20 hrs per week. More on weekends, less during the week. That includes posting, grading, writing assignments, giving feedback, writing exams, maintaining the website, etc. I'd also say that's fair for the week before the course starts, and the week after (grading & recording grades). It's an 8 week semester, so 15 * 10 weeks = 150-200 hrs, about $10/hr. For someone with four years of in person university teaching experience and two master's degrees. Sux, but I'm home with my kids.
