    Hi all!
I'm wondering if anybody knows anything about EDMC. I received an e-mail stating that I have been selected to go forward in the hiring process. It is affiliated with South University, The Art Institute of Pittsburg (which is where I remember applying months ago), and Argosy University. My questions that hopefully you all can help me with include:

What is the hiring process/training like? Do I have to train away from home or online?

Is this a legitimate place? Its such a shock that I received a response and I'm curious as to if this is true or not.

The name of the staffing specialist is Maria Rohrig and the traing specialist is Sara Portoulas. Do these names sound familiar to anyone?

I'm supposed to send all of College Transcripts and send a reply to them saying that I want to continue the hiring process. So, any input on this would help a lot!

I've decided to go back to school for another Masters degree, but if I can make money on the side that would be great!

    Thanks!
    Lisa

I have worked as an adjunct for them for almost 3 years

It was a 4 week online training session, just like taking a class but that was a long time ago and it was a different platform then what is used today. It was all done online.

Yes, it is an RA school with plenty of locations. They have a PA program at the main campus in Savannah.

    Never heard of them

If you want to teach for them, then set the transcripts ;). I have been with them almost 3 years and I get steady classes from them - 2 to 4 per semester.

    Randell,
Thank you so much for your prompt response! If you can help further, I have a couple more questions:

    How many semesters are there?

    When are the semesters/breaks?

    What platform do they use?

Do I (as the instructor) have to create the class or do they provide the instructor with needed syllabus, etc.? I had found some online environments in which the instructor just uses what the college has provided to teach rather than create his or her own materials. Just curious...

I may have more questions and I'm pretty nervous about this because I am going back to school, but I'm still excited.

    Thanks!

There are four semesters broken into halves: session I and session II

    When are the semesters/breaks?
There are breaks between semesters but not between sessions. We just had a one week break in early September

They are all created for you. There are five discussion questions per week and you pick three you want to use. It is all built but you can pick the questions from the pool. It is nice because you can change up the classes from semester to semester.

If you have any other questions just let me know or email me your phone number and we can discuss it.
