Can anyone give a list about this? What online schools have a focus in education (elementary, early childhood, education technology). Thanks...
>> Oh gosh Lisa, there are a million. Are you looking for bachelor or masters level, and for what state?
Hi Lisa - Jennifer is right. There are too many to list. On the other hand, Dr. Bear wrote a book about this and even though it's a few years old you could probably pick up a used copy through amazon or someplace similar for just a few dollars. Most state university systems offer one (an MEd) and so you could start by looking at the one closest to you. However, I don't want you to go away empty handed: http://www.umassonline.net/DegreeList.cfm?degree_Category_ID=4
Jennifer: I guess I'm looking for Bachelors because I need the doctorate to teach masters. I'm so confused! I'm also open to any state if it's online but I live in Michigan. Kizmet: Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
Most schools will advertise their online adjunct positions on either or both of these sites; http://www.chronicle.com/jobs http://www.higheredjobs.com Some schools which offer undergrad education degrees that don't advertise except on their own websites; University of Phoenix - https://mycampus.phoenix.edu/content/leadinterestform/default.aspx?orga=31 American Military University - http://www.apus.edu/employment/index.htm Kaplan University - http://www.kaplan.com/careers Be sure to check those sites daily or at least weekly; they tend to change quite frequently.
If your interest is educational technology, I can give you a list of the highest regarded programs in the field.
Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the helpful responses. Anthony- I am primarily interested in educational technology, so with my Master's in this area, I'm looking for teaching the Bachelor's level (I guess). If you have a list of schools offering this, I would greatly appreciate it ! Overall, I'm really hoping to find an adjunct online teaching job. I've heard that I should go back for a Doctorate, but wonder how much in debt I should get with student loans before I get a single job! Any more help will be welcome! Thanks... Lisa
