How do you list adjunct experience on a resume? There is not a lot of fluff you can work with. Here is what I have, any suggestions??

·Big University – 6/2006 – Present
Teach online classes for computer topics that cover fault tolerance and general networking
Study business and computer topics to stay current with trends and technology
Provide personalized feedback for all assignments submitted

·Online University – 1/2006 – Present
Teach online classes on Computer Applications and Business Fundamentals
Research external sources to ensure the students receive information that reflects current trends

Here's what I have...

I always put a blurb about "teaching a diverse population of traditional students, working adults and returning students with a wide variety of educational backgrounds and experience."

I use a wide variety of teaching methods to ensure student success.

I also state that I am well versed in WebCT, Blackboard, Ucompass Educator, Moodle and a variety of proprietary lending platforms.

Also, I put a statement that I personally developed the objectives, syllabus and course outline including learning objectives and outcomes, if that is true. In my cover letter I indicate that while I have developed my own syllabus and course outline, I am more than happy to use a pre-developed plan.

I listed like this:

Online University 2004-Present
Chicago IL
Adjunct Faculty of Computer Information Systems

Responsible for the teaching for the following courses in the online format for the Master of Management in Information Systems:
Project Management for Information Technology Professionals
Computer Networks
Databases
Security Engineering
Computer Forensics

Other Service:
Course designer and manager for the Human Computer Interaction.

I think that the courses taught and any course design experience is worth to mention.

How to Format a Resume for a College Teaching Position?

On a related note how do you format your resume (c.v.) when applying to a teaching position at a community college or private career college? There is an advertised opportunity to teach information technology courses on a part-time basis at a local private career college, but I am not sure how much technical detail to include in the c.v.

I will include an excerpt from my c.v as an example.

(technical version)
Cirriculum Vitae

• Analyzed the requirements and capabilities of a metadirectory-based identity management system to synchronize and automate the flow of data elements between various systems (Sun Solaris, Sun MetaDirectory Server, Sun Solaris, Sun Directory Server, PeopleSoft HRMIS, Novell GroupWise Server, Entrust Authority, Entrust GetAccess, CPIC, Nortel Contivity, X.500, X.509, LDAP, TCP/IP)
• Prepared the preliminary business case, project charter and project plan, project management plan and master project schedule, and budget for the organizational data synchronisation strategy
• Analyzed dataflow requirements and prepared data flow diagrams to model the synchronization and automated flow of data elements between the enterprise systems (PeopleSoft HRMIS, Novell GroupWise Server, and Entrust Authority, Entrust GetAccess, Nortel Contivity)
• Developed a data cleansing strategy to increase the probability of matching records from the disparate data stores (PeopleSoft HRMIS, Novell GroupWise Server, and Entrust Authority, Entrust GetAccess, Nortel Contivity)
• Designed, coded, and implemented scripts to collect, parse, and synchronize selected data elements flowing between the ancillary systems and the metadirectory (Perl, CPAN Modules, ksh)
• Designed, coded, and implemented data error feedback mechanisms (Perl, CPAN Modules, CSV-format files)
• Produced adhoc reports (Perl, ksh, bash, CSV-format files) to match the entries in the PKI Directory (Sun Solaris, Entrust Authority, LDAP, TCP/IP) to those in the Enterprise Directory (Sun Directory Server, Perl, LDAP, X.500, TCP/IP) showing the status of each person within the organization for the security administration unit
• Installed, configured, and managed a metadirectory service (Sun Solaris, Sun MetaDirectory Server, Sun Directory Server)
• Developed scripts to purge entries from the Enterprise Directory when the corresponding human resources record indicates the person has been terminated more than a pre-defined number of days (Sun Solaris, Sun Directory Server, Perl, LDAP, X.500, TCP/IP , Perl, ksh, bash)
• Developed scripts for system maintenance (datastore backup and recovery, log file rotation, service monitoring) (ksh)
(non-technical version)Cirriculum Vitae

If someone has a sample c.v. they are willing to share (minus any personal or client/employer identifiable information), it would be appreciated. This would be my first teaching position so all my experience, besides mentoring and co-workers and training delivery specific to a work project, is technical as well as systems and business analysis.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nevermind, I found an excellent posting that very nicely summarized the format.

It is depending on the type of the resume you want to write and the company you are applying, there aren’t any common rules. I would recommend you to look at one of those resources https://top5resumewriting.services/resumewriters-com-review/ to understand a little bit more about resumes or just order it somewhere if you don’t know all the techniques. Your resume shouldn’t be too long and boring to read, it is what I can say.
