If (hypothetically speaking) one's former employer was bought out by another company, and nobody renewed its Internet domain (which was then acquired by an advertiser for an unconnected industry who buys deleted Internet domains in bulk) -- would attempting to purchase that domain to post one's résumé (thinly disguised with a motherhood-type history of the company, and contact info for other former employees) be a good or a bad idea?
I think it's a good idea except for the "thinly disguised" part. I think one should make it clear that it's now one's personal domain.
