I caught a story about software for preparing for the SATs on Tech TV. They have a full write up about the two products that they reviewed (as well as some other SAT-related links) at http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/products/story/0,24330,3510300,00.html Darren.
I'm going to be applying at Brevard Community College (see my post re: FSU and UMASS in the IT forum for more info). They require a recent SAT.
Actually, other tests besides the SAT will fulfill Brevard Community College’s requirement for recent placement test scores (see here). ”Students registering for college-credit classes are required to present placement test scores (less than two years old) prior to course registration. Acceptable examinations are SAT, ACT, CPT (BCC¡¯s Computerized Placement Test), and FELPT (Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test). Assessment in English, reading and mathematics is required for all degreeseeking students.” I believe these tests can be taken at most community colleges in Florida, and some are probably easier than the SAT.
