What does the future hold? Market saturation and price competition?

A better question. What idiots are running the brick and mortar schools? An agressive b&m school that grew ahead of the demand and offered service to students, instead of making demands of them could be grossing a cool billion a year.

In the education business, it is a matter of pride how few students are accepted from applicants, not how many. Pride and poverty always go well together.

Although I have never taken a Capella course, I have a certain respect for them based on what I've read on this forum. I hope their more aggresive attempts at marketing don't come back to haunt them. If Capella ads start popping up everywhere then people may decide against the school. I think UoP has saturated the market more than McDonalds.

    Capella

I am a current Capella Learner. I can't be more excited over the growth. My undergrad and both graduate degress were from a traditional B&M university. The courses I am taking are just as, if not more so intellectually stimulating. Most of the professors are top notch. I hope to join them when I receive my terminal degree.

    drsunny,
I'm glad you are enjoying your studies at Capella. It seems as if most people attending Capella are impressed with the program(s), which bodes well for DL. My only request (actually,I'm begging!) to Capella is PLEASE! do NOT advertise "earn your degree in your SPARE time."
