Mills of a feather that flock together and their degrees are worth goose eggs

That depends. Research indicates--and the overwhelming anecdotal evidence supports--that there is a great deal of utility in degrees from diploma mills.

Other than fooling employers that are not aware of RA and GAAP what purpose do these degrees serve? A degree that looks nice on the wall but has no utility serves only as wallpaper.

Until the truth comes to light. Just ask "Dr." Laura Callahan. :D

Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of such degrees are in use out there. While this certainly represents a great deal of "fooling employers," it doesn't explain it all. There is also a great deal of laissez faire out there; employers don't look and don't care.

Precisely Rich. The very reason why so many flock to schools like Almeda, SRU, Amstead, Farington and a whole list of others. Their graduates are getting good jobs in companies that don't know and don't care.
