Articulation Agreements I speculate that these types of articulation agreements between community colleges and universities are a way to ensure the future growth and enrollment of a university because the chances are increased that the graduates of the community colleges will pursue a bachelors degree at the university that has an articulation agreement with the community college. This gives a university a "special" pool of applicants: that have already completed the basic classes (first two years of college). that have demonstrated an ability for academic coursework. that are more likely to continue their education, as opposed to dropping out. that are more mature. This is an extremely valuable pool of applicants to any university.
I wonder if there;s a grandfather clause? I attended DCCCD way back in 1970-something, went on to get B.S. and M.S. in California many moons later. I'm always a sucker for a discount.
