I just did a Google Search on Frank, and he was an amazing fake. He once ran up a $2500 bill on his father's credit card. He would buy 4 tires on the old man's credit card and sell them back to the service station for half price. He said to mail a letter for free, just put your name in the center and the person to receive the letter in the upper left hand corner of the envelope. Put in the mail and without a stamp it gets returned to sender. The name in the upper left hand corner, slick. :)

I'm surprised he didn't wind up as Bill Clinton's VP ...a wonderful complement to the administration.

James, interesting story thanks for the info.

From what I have read about Frank he has turned his life around.
Enjoys his family and repaid his stolen assets.

Interesting case of an individual with a high IQ from a broken family. Allegedly he values family life now.

I hope he has changed. He has too much ability to waste his life looking for short cuts. I would certainly give him a second chance.

Having loaned out my copy of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN by Frank
Abagnale, and forgotten who I'd loaned it to, I dialed up the Amazon UK website and ordered another copy - on the 28th July 2003. The ordered copy arrived in our New Zealand post office box this morning - the 1st August. Cost 9 Euro, including Air Post. This must surely be a World Record for international mail order distribution.
Order your copy now - great story.
I've purchased numerous books from Amazon UK - including Dr Bear's 15th Edition - and have always been impressed by their distribution speed, but their latest effort is outstanding. :)
