I am now awaiting my applicatino to be accepted at Kentucky Wesleyan College. It will not be a distance learning program. I can't seem to make up my mind on what to finish up in.....communcation arts or English.

I know I know what everybody is going to say. This is something you have to make up for yourself on your own. And I know that. :)

I know if I did the communication arts, it would be easier for me. I don't really have too much problem with my communication skills. English would kick my butt. Majorly kick my butt. I would have to work really really hard. But I love English, and i love to write.

    I just don't know.

    just ranting i guess?

You didn't say if your studies are for personal or professional reasons.

I've noticed a few here with Ministerial(sp?) degrees and they would know best. With a 50% chance of being right, I'll guess English as the better choice. :)

English. Take all the Latin you can get, too--to help with your English writing and your critical thinking skills. You will get homiletics training in seminary, FWIW.

    Drew,
I was in the exact boat in which you currently find yourself. I wanted to finish up a BA and go for theological training. I chose English. It suited me very well. We had tons of papers to write on theological studies and after just finishing a BA in English, it was a snap.

I am sure either degree would be beneficial, but I am glad I chose English. Thats what I would recommend.

English. This will assist you at all levels of ministry from oral presentations to conference lectures.

Plus my wife (being an English Major) would kill me if I didn't say English! It isn't so bad being hen pecked as long as you do not mind then hen that is pecking you!
