If the person in the picture had been African-American, the NAACP would call Dr. Gina's remarks racist. If the person had been homosexual, the ACLU, NAMBLA and a few DegreeInfo posters would call Dr. Gina's remarks discriminatory. If the person had been female, the women's rights groups would call Dr. Gina's remarks conservative and biased, certainly archaic and politically incorrect. If the person had been an animal, PETA would cry abuse. BUT NO, the guy is an elderly white male. When are elderly white males going to get some respect??????
Myreasons for putting up this pic are as follows: 1.) He looks like Popeye 2.) Popeye was my favorite cartoon (and movie ) growing up 3.) I like Spinach too. 4.) Popeye embodies the ideal that good will conquer all evil 5) The pic itself looks funny. There, no racism, sexism, or any other ism or malace was intended in my posting of this picture. Besides, it has been stated that older men are percieved to be more attractive to the opposite sex!
YES, HERE HE IS (A LITTLE OLDER BUT STILL WEARING THE BLACK THING) AT THE LAST REUNION! THERE WAS A COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRT DESIGN DONE FOR THE OCCASION AS SEEN AT THE BOTTOM.
C'mon! Whoa! Could we please show a little more discretion as to the size of embedded images? Let’s all do our part to respect and preserve bandwidth. The occasional embedded image is OK (especially when relevant), but abuse (and that includes sig files and reposting images in repsonses) wreaks havoc. Moderators please take note.
CHILL OUT! You might be over-reacting, Gus! GUS, besides taking more room on another server, taking a little more time to load up and maybe being a bigger picture, what's horrible about that? Do we need to take a collection to help Dr. Bear? Illumine us, Gus. It just seems you are over-reacting while we are just trying to have some jest around here. Moderators also take note!
YES, HERE HE IS (A LITTLE OLDER BUT STILL WEARING THE BLACK THING) AT THE LAST REUNION! Looks like a frat party to me!!! What frat house did he belong too?
Re: CHILL OUT! You might be over-reacting, Gus! John doesn't get anything either way (since he owns 0% of Degreeinfo.com). However, as I understand it, Chip is accepting any and all donations. Tom Nixon
Re: CHILL OUT! You might be over-reacting, Gus! Gladly. Those who consider a polite request for discretion to be an overreaction or a personal affront need to adjust his or her dosages.
I would be nice if, in the future, when you invoke my name, it is in a sentence that makes sense and is somewhat grammatically correct.
