Spam Why don't ISPs check traffic for spam. I thought they did, but my 50 spams per day says they don't. I think I must delete half my mail deleting these. If an ISP has a million suscribers that could mean 50,000,000 messages daily. What is the cost of this? I can't figure out services like hotmail. Open an account and its full of spam the next day. They obviously don't have your specific address.
The truth is, it's a fine line filtering spam. It's nearly impossible to set the filters high enough to catch most spams and still not have false positives... which most customers simply won't tolerate. Good to hear that someone is taking action against the Romanian frauds, though.
