I have noticed that the time clock seems a little off. At the bottom it says GMT - 3 hours. Which right now would be 12:20 PM, yet the clock read 10:20 am or GMT + 7 hours (seesm to be set to Indonesian western zone).

    Am I missing something?

Seems to be a disruption in the space/time continuem. (Who knows how to spell continuem?)

Must be in a time warp?

I just changed my settings in User CP to Pacific time and now it says it's 7:15 PM (my clock says it's 10:15 AM)?

Beijing time seems to work for Mountain Daylight Time.

    Talk about chronologically challenged.

If I may veer off into an Off Off-topic Topic . . .

I have wondered for years why there are exceptions to the one-hour time zones. For instance, parts of Australia and Canada (Newfoundland) are off-set by half an hour, and time in Nepal is 15 minutes earlier (or perhaps later) than neighboring countries. How did this come about? And are there any even more irregular cases than Nepal's 15-minute one?

I know India was set at a half-hour interval when I was there in 1996. It was explained to me that the time zone cut through the middle of the country. As hectic as things were anyway, it was considered too much trouble to be changing times, so they just split the difference and put the whole nation on one time. I don't know how accurate that is, but that was how it was explained to me.

While the time difference between Newfoundland and the rest of Canada appears to be 30 minutes, it is in fact 40 years and 30 minutes.

Newfoundland has the unique distinction of giving up their independence to revert to British colonial status. When Britain couldn't afford them anymore, in 1949, we got them.

They should start some kind of International Standard Time (considering how "connected" the whole world is, I think it would make sense to have one time).

Would this be possible or would it be like pulling teeth (like the US adopting the metric system) :D
