Hi. I'm a newbie here but wanted to pass this url along. I've found it useful. http://www.gradschools.com/listings/distance/
Thanks Mike. I totally agree. You really need to wade through the bad ones to find the good ones. If there are any other useful websites out there, please let me know. If I see one more banner ad for University of Phoenix - I'm going to scream (no offense to those UOP students).
I would agree. Just for grins I clicked on "Philosophy" thinking that I knew something about virtually all the available DL philosophy programs. Up popped, 1) University of Joensuu (Finland, perhaps?) 2) Vermont College of the Union Institute 3) Warnborough University The site made no distinction between these apparent choices. Buyer beware! Jack
I'm sure you have good intentions, Micheal, but this is the type of site I consider particularly insidious. It mixes legitimate schools with diploma mills: a very bad sign. Interestingly enough, I found a link to this site on a page maintened by the state of OREGON: http://www.osac.state.or.us/links.html
A better choice IMO A better site (IMHO) is Peterson's Distance Learning Search. But even this one is not 100% as some programs are not exactly what the site my imply. Programs listed may have changed, or listed as entirely DL when hter is a residency requirment. You still need to examine each program for your self. For another look and individual courses try TelleCampus. but agin this is not everything but is a good place to start.
Thanks Mike. Peterson's is certainly helpful as well as Telecampus. Hopefully others will find these useful as well. It certainly would be nice to find a website that is comprehensive and completely up to date! Gee - wouldn't that be nice. Unfortunately, I've found that often times you have to go to individual school websites to see what programs they are offering through DL - a lengthy process.
