I was doing a search for colleges, and this was a SPONSORED site on yahoo. www.closeduniversity.com They provide copies of closed school's diplomas, for the buying..... but don't fear, they seem to also have limits - medical and law degrees they won't do and the signatures will be "close", not copied.
Is you is or is you ain't? I ran through the list of closed colleges. Most really are closed. Quite a number, though, have been renamed or merged--with complete continuity of records. There are four, I think, that are neither closed nor renamed. Which ones? Sorry, nobody who normally posts here needs to know, and many of us can spot 'em just like I did. I have no interest in being a minesweeper for time bombs. If anybody uses this outfit for anything other than the actual physical replacement of an earned diploma from a closed college, listen closely... tick tick tick tick.
I shot 'closeduniversities' a note about the California University for Advanced Studies, which is not in their list - CUAS was a university which closed in 1989 (Bear 2003). The closeduniversity people said they were not allowed to issue CUAS degrees. I wonder if this is because there is now a California National University for Advanced Studies? Perhaps the closeduniversity people are legitimate in a round-about way?
