Yes folks, you know who they are, those individuals who have nothing better to do with there lives but go online, and point out small grammatical errors. They sit at their dark, and lonely desks; praying to God that someone, anyone, will make a trivial mistake, so that they can finally join the conversation, and feel good about themselves. Well, I am here to let them know that, yes, I cannot spell all that great, and perhaps I lack good grammar skills. However, what I do posses are good manners, people skills, and common SENSE. Perhaps certain people with such good grammar skills, shoud leave their dark and lonely desks and develop a few social skills---like getting a life. By the way, if you caught the incorrect spelling of the word, “should”; BINGO, no else cared but you. Everyone else still got the point, and had the good manners to ignore it. But in case you missed it, Good communication, and good grammar on the internet are mutually exclusive.
I ain't scared none. Most people here don't bother about grammer unless it is someone whose viewpoint should be believed because he has 6 PhDs but makes 20 spelling and grammatical errors. Small people worry about small errors.

Count me with the "Grammar Police". If we award Liberal Arts degrees to people whose writing looks illiterate, it provokes suspicion about the degrees. > Small people worry about small errors. My daughter, when she was younger, took on the thankless job of keeping the household in line and she was appreciated by no-one. Everyone has occasional little slips that are just accidents. My nickname for my daughter on certain occasions was the fart police. I can distinguish between formal activity, such as writing a term paper or dining with the queen, and informal activity, such as posting on degreeinfo or watching television. The Michaelangelo quote - he was being Michaelangelo and perfection was his gig. It ain't mine. We do not need fart police on degreeinfo.
> Everyone has occasional little slips that are just accidents. That's very true. I only want to police systemic indications of ignorance or carelessness, or slips that might mislead or confuse people.
Beware of the Grammar internet police! Shouldn't that be, "Beware of the internet grammar police?" Beware of the grammar police du internet? Why does that question mark look odd inside of the quote?
Heavens forbid I make a mistake again while posting on a internet thread. After all I have to remind myself I’m being graded for grammar on a recreational site. P.S. I hope you find some good errors in the post. Since I put them all in on purpose Here are some more misspelled words to keep the grammar police busy: si the rac eachter count wno od I better stop I’m having to much fun with this thread All right enough is enough I will not post any more replies to this thread
Recreational site? I must respectfully disagree! DegreeInfo is the internet communication site for an entire subculture. Philosophical deliberations and dialogue engage the reader on a consistent basis. Opinion and speculation are encountered with the cold hard facts of DL truth. Entire pedagogical systems are founded here. This DL think tank is far from recreation--it is a way of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roy and Dennis - I am dyslexic and went to a Doctor for about 6 years....... I thought you guys were funny and laughed at the joke. (But hey, I am addicted to Degreeinfo.com, so you can't take me as the norm)
