According to the Chronicle of Higher Education (Mar. 7, 2003), one "Dr. Mrs. Philomena Okika, Ph.D." has come up with a new twist on making money from a fake or nonexistent school: charging $350 to apply for one of many heavily-advertised (e.g., www.teacher.net) faculty positions.

The website for this institution, "well known...inernationally as a center of academic excellence," featured pictures of Rhodes University of South Africa, which was able to get the Sefcody's site taken down.

The university was claimed to be on Victoria Island, Nigeria.

Ms. Okika should be willing to accept some of the money that her Nigerian countrymen are tirelessly trying to wire into my bank account.
