    Hello,

I have been unofficially admitted into a grad program, but to be formally admitted I need to submit GRE scores. Although they have indicated that I'll be formally admitted regardless of my score, I would still like to do well on the test in case I ever need to submit GRE scores anywhere in the future.

For those of you who have taken the GRE, which prep guides have you found most useful?

Quite frankly I found the GRE for Dummies helpful. When you sit taking it for 4.5 hours you will feel like a dummy when it finished. At least it was interspersed with humor.

    An old rule applies...

If you just want to know and "beat" the test, use Princeton Review. If you want to learn something and do well outright, buy Kaplan! (Both present condensed versions of their respective, exspensive tutored prep courses--I've taken both.)

And do practice on their CD-ROMs, as well as the ETS disk!
