Rich's next post will give him the distinct honor of being the very first member of DegreeInfo's 3000 Club (3000 posts).

Congratulations, Rich. Union should give you three hours of Ph.D. credit for this life experience. ;)

Life experience credits for a "having no life" experience?

If Rich wants to apply his 3,000 posts to a "life experience" program, perhaps Almeda C&U could grant him a second masters degree. :D :D :D

3,000 hits seems to be the qualifying standard for the Baseball Hall of Fame. (Unless of course your name is Pete Rose.)

Maybe that should be the standard here.

Well, if everybody signs affadavits stating how Rich's posts have helped them with their endeavours in distance education, it's entirely conceivable that he gets some academic credit...:)

Three thousand!! I don't think I'll ever have that many. If I did I think I may lose my job and my wife as well! :D

Since Rich obviously owns the career record, he should try for Chamberlain's single game record. One hundred posts in one day.

    GO, RICH, GO!!!!!!!!!!! :D

    Where's Gert

He was on a pace to overcome Rich.

His seeming alter ego oxpecker is not so prolific.

According to his profile, Gert only has 1715. Not even in the same league.

Gert started later and was posting an amazing number per day until his mysterious disappearance. Probably an alien abduction. We are hoping he survived the anal probe.

It was noted some time ago that he would pass Rich in 2004 or 2005.

    Career Stats:

    Rich: 2999 posts, with a 3.62/day average.

    Gert: 1715 posts, with a 3.17/day average.

Plus, Rich is a better defender.

Gert may make it to the hall of fame, but Rich is a legend.

Let me put it another way.

All known Afrikaaners (sp?) who post here have been posting for 531 days and made 2095 posts for 3.95 daily.

Plumbdog: "[Rich] should try for Chamberlain's single game record. One hundred posts in one day."

And what is there left after that?

    Bevo Francis, of course.

What happened to Rich? Has the pressure of #3,000 gotten to him?

He is not taking the bait.
Surely the 3000th post should not be as trivial as 'I am here'.:)

If I was technically able to post Rich's 3000th post, I would help him out.

"I was right about MIGS and all you critics were wrong. I am re-enrolling in the PhD program with a macarena major.

    Buenes Dias (sp??)

    Rich"

    There the 3000th

Like Jim Brown, it seems that Rich has retired at the height of his career. We will have the memories, but we will also forever have the sad notion of what could have been. #4000, #5000, 10000, who knows how far his talent could have taken him? :D
