I can't recall if someone mentioned this site on another thread. 1-2-3 College Degree provides some information that can be beneficial for the novice DL student. The problem with this site is that the list of DL schools includes both regionally accredited and unaccredited (bogus) institutions. This could mislead prospective students into believing that all of these universities are RA (or at least GAAP). http://www.college-degrees.org/ Trinity College and University or Brown's International University are not legitimate schools. I am surprised to see these schools listed along with WGU, The Open University (UK) University of Maryland and the University of Illinois.
1-2-3 is owned, not surprisingly, by the same guys who operate TC&U and BIU, not to mention Ashington U. and possibly Almeda C&U. The domain is registered to Albert Wainright, an admitted alias of Brett Loebel, the Florida half of the TC&U management crew.
"I am surprised to see these schools listed along with WGU, The Open University (UK) University of Maryland and the University of Illinois. " The University of Maryland (www.umd.edu) does not offer any degrees by DL except for a few engineering classes. UMUC, a different school entirely but based nearby in Adelphi, does: www.umuc.edu
Ah, thank you Bill. It looks like Maryland does have some DL degrees. Thanks for the info. UMCP offers 3 degrees on line: • Master of Life Sciences • Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology • Professional Master of Engineering Fire Protection Option
