When I see threads like: "Praise Touro" and "Touro Students Must Post Here" popping up every couple of weeks, I can't help but feel that this is an organized advertising campaign.

And when I read posts like this, I can't help but feel that this is the work of a provocateur.

What would you like Degreeinfo to be, Plumbdog? What would you prefer that people be talking about?

I wish that there were posting after posting of Unviersities that are opening their minds to DL degrees. Traditional schools wising up to the audience they have - the students..... it is a small request and I know some are slowly moving that way, but I wish it were faster.

It's Not. ALthough it may be enthusiastic students speaking highly about their school, it is not and organized effort to increase enrollment. They are doing very well, and can probably use a slow down.

I have a suggestion....If you think you might not like the contents of a thread, don't go to it!

Are you the guy who gave Saddam Husein the keys to the City of Detroit 20 years ago?

Plumbdog: I could respond with: "I have a suggestion....If you think you might not like the contents of a thread, don't go to it!"
But I won't, because I think a discussion forum is about exchanging opinions.

Good point......then you can understand the motivation for those of us who are interested in some things, like the school we go to, to start a thread.

I have stated before, I have nothing against Touro or its students. I don't have anything against members starting threads related to Touro. But, I have seen numerous threads begin on a topic, only to evolve into a nonrelated discussion of Touro's fee schedule. When I saw the thread entilted "Praise Touro" it seemed alot like advertising. When that thread began to slip down the list, it was replaced by "touro students MUST post here". A thread that proposed no question or point of view, other than to place Touro's name back into the top twenty. Maybe it is enthusiastic students, but it certainly gives the appearence that someone wants to keep Touro's name alive.

No, that was Coleman. And it wasn't my church that got the $200K donation from Saddam, either.
