College is one of those places where many people find their significant other, and often their life-long mate. It would be interesting to conduct a study of Dating and DL.

    For example:

    1) Have any marriages taken place as the result of a DL encounter?

    2) Among fundie DL schools, are there any taboo's? For example, at Bob Jones, holding hands was once taboo. So among fundie DL schools what would the rule be? No e-mailing after 9:45 P.M.?

    3) What about a DL student at a RA school who dates a DL student from Kennedy-Western? Is this acceptable?

    4) What about Degree Mill dating?

Well, I met my wife on a blind date, so I guess I could say it was the result of DL. Whatever the reason, I've found my soulmate. :D

  3. Keeping in mind that I think Kennedy-Western is a degree mill . . .

If the owners of degree mills are hustlers and whores, what does that make degree mill "students?"

And would you want to date a hustler or whore? Or just patronize one?

    (Don't bother answering . . . the questions are rhetorical.) :D

Whenever I walk down Capp Street after dark, the women on the street corners ask me if I want a date.

(Kinda like reading the list of WAUC-accredited schools.)

Yes, but do they send you e-mails every two weeks offering you a chance to "get started on achieving your dream at K-W?"

I must disagree with this characterization, as the world’s oldest profession actually does give you something for your money (or so I’ve been told ;) ). To me, degree mills are more akin to the purveyors of phone sex. There is a large element of fantasy about it; what the customer imagines doesn’t even remotely resemble the truth; and the customer must delude him or herself into believing it is a viable alternative to the real thing. Moreover, it’s expensive even when compared to other alternatives (even mediocre ones), and the utility you derive depends solely on how much you take matters into your own hands. :D:D:D

I can see the correlation between DL diploma mills and women on street corners asking men for dates. They both will take your money and then end up leaving you screwed.
