The Church of England and 'England' has been at its best today! The enthronment of the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury (The Most Revd Dr Rowan Williams, MA [Cantab], DPhil, DD [Oxon], Primate of All England and Metropolitan) in Canterbury Cathedral. It's what we seem to do best - the music, the choirs, the ceremony, 2,600 people (princes, Blair all the pomp and ceremony, etc) in the cathedral and the Archbishop sitting on a simple chair (throne) in which St Augustine is supposed to have sat centuries ago when made first AofC by the Pope! It has been a wonderful winter/spring-like day, sunny, blue skies and here we have one of the most intellectual ansd formidable theologians of our time, who is simple in his manner and in how he conducts himself. We will have some fun times ahead - he is already at logger heads with Blair over war with Iraq! And Blair and the Queen gave him the job! Marvellous!

I hope they show some glimpses of the ceremonial on TV in the USA. It has been transmitted world-wide and was 'live' for 2 hours here on BBC Television.

    Yes it has!

Yes it has! And Blair and his lot have been given a warning (yesterday) about matters relating to going to war that will open a can of worms that could potentially unleash a world none of us can yet even picture - including Blair and Bush!

Today (for anyone who listened and took time out to contemplate)
    presented a time of reflection.
