Hello, Any suggestions on selling textbooks. I am aware of MBS direct. Oddly, our local library will not accept current textbooks as donations for reference. Hille

You can but/sell any kind of books at amazon.com. Some of the best buys I've made have been though this service as they seem to be especially good at providing listings for "out of print" books.
Beyond that I'd point out that if you have a fireplace or woodstove, old textbook pages make excellent kindling.

    I've sold a few at half.com.
But be prepared to wait for semester starts like September or January to make sales. And do check your email at least every other day then, too; I've lost a sale by not!

    New sites for selling textbooks?

Hello, My son has accumulated some very heavy books this semester that will not be used in the fall of 2003. Wonderful paperweights......any new sites or ideas appreciated. Hille

Maybe if you listed them here you'd get some takers. If that's allowed.

Old textbooks are meant to be placed on bookshelves in your office so people think you are intelligent. Isn't that what everyone does?

It is also a reminder to myself that 20-30 years ago, I did understand stats and calculus etc. even though it looks like Greek today. Oh! It is Greek.

  9. Hey Hille,

    What are the titles/subjects covered?
