Normally, the only lively thread at www.distancedegree.net is the one discussing this board. Still, I check it out daily to see if anything new's been posted. Yesterday and today, the site has begun popping up what appears to be a page created in Brazil! Can someone else go to that website and tell me what you see? (I see some nonsensical stuff, a few names, and a logo with the Brazilian flag in it. Weird.)

Yep. The site has been hacked. What a waste of time -- hacking a site that has no traffic!

However, if you go directly to the forums http://www.distancedegree.net/forums/ you find that they are there. There has been no traffic for about 2 weeks--then just admin announcements that old posts have been removed.

    Appears dead to me.

Interestingly, although the posts were few in number, they were all in two threads that were entirely purged: USA Regionally Accredited and USA Nationally Accredited. Nope, no bias or censorship there.

What cracked me up was the line of posts accusing this forum of thinking with one mind. (Okay, okay. I, for one, never disagree with ANYONE around here. But others do! ;) )

However has been hogging the DegreeInfo mind, let someone else have a turn, ding bust it!

I've never had a chance to use the Degreeinfo mind either, but luckily I don't need a mind to post.

After reading the above postings I decided to pay a visit. To my surprise it was just a page that was "powered by 'ensim,'" announcing that it's simply a pageholder for a future site (meaning that the url was available for rent). The entire site appears to be gone. No great sadness on my part. It always seemed to me that the site was the idea of 2 or 3 people and once they got tired of patting themselves on the back about how great their unaccredited degrees were they really had nothing to say (and no one to say it to).
