Introduced in the fall of 2001 at UC Berkeley’s Library, the Wayback Machine gets its name from the old Rocky and His Friends cartoon show. (Remember Sherman and Mr. Peabody?) Unlike the cartoon, this is a digital library that allows users to re-create a website’s past. (i.e., You could find out what a school’s website looked like three years ago.) Technology never ceases to amaze me. www.archive.org
