Earlier this week I was in Minneapolis. When I checked into my hotel I flipped on the TV and there was an advertisement for National American University. Basically, the ad centered on earning your degree through study of one night a week and I believe offered the AAS in massage therapy.

Later that day I went to the Mall of America and while walking around passed by the front door -- rather Mall Store Front of, lo and behold! -- National American University. I didn't go in but thought not only can I do Christmas Shopping I could enroll in a degree program. I wondered if they offered gift certificates?

    John,

The NAU degree program can be completed in one trip to the mall. Here is the process:

    1. Enroll at NAU at 10:00.
    2. Complete all forms.
    3. Submit all fees.
    4. Shop until 9:30 pm.
    5. Pick up the diploma at 9:45 pm as you leave the mall.

Man, this makes me want to take my wife shopping! ;)

Vladika: They are RA (North Central). So maybe you're right, getting your wife an MBA for Christmas might be just the thing. But then, I've never understood what women want...

Hello, I know nothing about National American University. The use of space in this area is an issue that is critical in New Jersey. Our local community college bought a strip of offices to add to the local Burlington County College - NJIT campus. BCC used to have a campus in a mall. I am not sure if that exists anymore. Although it (sounds) terrible to have education in a mall it is extremely practical. Hille

There are so many personalized product kiosks in malls -- coffee mugs, key rings, placemats, pencils, etc. I fully expect, one day, to see "Ye Olde Diploma Mille," which would indeed print them while you wait.

The only such retail service I know of was run for a while in Florida in a mini-mall. It was "BACD" (Buy a College Degree), affiliated with or identical to "USSI" -- the place from which I bought my $50 (appx.) Harvard law degree some years ago.
