Just saw PhD behind the name of Bobby Jones who hosts a Gospel Music program on BET. Does anyone know where he got it? Roscoe
Yup--Vanderbilt University. He earned the Ph.D. in curriculum leadership back in the eighties, when he was a schoolteacher. Cheers,
Thanks Tom, I must admit that I am both happy and surprised. Guess with all the phony doctors on tv, I expected Jones' degree to be from a diploma mill. Glad I was wrong. Roscoe
Don't feel bad, Roscoe. It only takes a few visits to DegreeInfo and one turns into a degree bloodhound.
Don't feel bad. I was suspicious of Chief Moose, PhD (sniper case). He too turned out to have a legit PhD. It is natural with all these guys running around with "Dr.". TD Jakes had a DMin listed on his web site. Apparently he went from some kind of business vocational school to DMin. For the truly gifted you skip the intervening steps. Don't get me wrong, even though he is not a theologian and in fact his theology is flawed, I do not discount the amazing influence and good he had done for the community and faith life of many. North
Hey Russell, You're right. Something happens to a person who visits this board. Over the last few days, I referred no less than five people to this site. For another two, I checked out three schools for them and found two of them unaccreditated. Oh, and I also ordered my fifth copy of Walston's Guide within a two week period. Wow! And to make things worse, I can't stay away from here. Before long, I'll be taking the meds you recommended for Bill Roscoe
Looks like I'll be posting overtime Get in line, Roscoe... I'll have your meds together in a minute... Steven Army Nurse
