Smilies have been fixed. (according to Bill Gossett) I believe it might be true otherwise We can now more accurately express emoticons in our articles.
Boy did that feel good! But I think senior members should be allowed to use more smilies than mere members
Mere Members!!! Ahh, elitism is alive and well on DegreeInfo. I also think that 1000+ posters should get to use University of Liverpool stickers on all their posts.
I see that Russell is soon to join Rich as a 2000+ poster. Assuming 10 minutes online per post (seems reasonable?), that's equivalent to about 40 workdays (at 8 hours per workday) dedicated to our edification (and entertainment).
---------------------------------- I'm so stupid. I've been fiddling with my pointer trying to get the smilie to turn around! All right Unk! NOWWWWWWW I finally get it!
No wonder the smilies were on strike for so long. We have uncle janko leering at their backend and Bill fiddling them with his pointer. If we want our smilies to be happy then we must treat them with more respect.
------------------------------------ You have to be patient with me. I managed to retire from school teaching in '98 without learning how to use this machine (but was driven to learn by doc aspirations). And I just don't have Unk's "wit", thankfully, as I'd get into much trouble with it.
