Driving home from the office last night, I thought 'what a week that was' on the DL discussion board, and also thinking the Degreeinfo.com could become quite an obsession (like gambling).

At that very moment an old Rick Nelson song played on the radio, it was, 'Garden Party'.

If you listen to the words of the song it fits the DL site to a 'T'.

All of the characters are in this song, and why not make this the theme tune for the DL site?

On another topic, the site earlier in the week discussed the member, Senior member, Accredited senior member and Dinosaur member. For this I thought, why not have a signed copy of John Bears book given to those active members that reach the 1000 post mark?

The discussion of the week, had to be the Masters programs and the dialogue between Lawrie and Gavin Kennedy was indeed the 'top of the pops'. Gavin, you held up well, however when Lawrie gets over to Scotland, maybe you should be over here?

A copy of J.B's book should go to Kennedy for the banter discussion of the week/month, whatever.

Poor Lawrie Miller, that damn good site of hers keeps going down, now why do you think this is? My guess, kennedy has one of those Scot Engineers doing this to her as punishment, but no seriously, Lawrie its such a good info site veryone is trying to see if the info not discussed on the board is available on yoursite.

Now if we could get J.B to have a site similar to yours (I know john B you make money from your books) this could be a wonderful combination?

I would also like to see Gavin Kennedy, create a posting on the DL (his own that is) to provide all of the facts on the HW program.

And the time posting thing, never did get my answer to the refernce point of where -5 GMT is?

In closing the weekend smile, I would like to see if we could continue this every weekend...would someone like to take up the thread?

    Garden Party . . .

Well I guess I see relevance in the line "But if memories were all I sang, I'd rather drive a truck," but others escape me. And, by the way Mr. Roberts, you might want to replace some "her" and "hers" with "him" and "his."

John Roberts: "Now what about it, J.B., are you up to the book thing?"

John Bear: Well, uh, you see, my daughter and I get 25 books, 12 1/2 each, from the publisher. I am down to 2, and I shall keep those. After that, we need to buy them, just like ordinary folk, although we do get them at wholesale price (40% off, thus $18). Giving one to people at milestones here is a charming idea, and if the people who own and run DegreeInfo decide to do it, I'll happily sign them.

John Roberts: A copy of J.B's book should go to Kennedy for the banter discussion of the week/month, whatever.

John Bear: Professor Kennedy may not wish to sully his shelves. He has suggested elsewhere that my time as the US/Canada marketing agent for his MBA (1991-98) was not necessarily the best thing that ever happened to "Jingling Geordie" Heriot or "Steam Engine Jim" Watt. Perhaps a bit too flamboyant. (Of course it did go from zero to becoming the largest MBA program in both of those countries during that time.)

John Roberts: (I know john B you make money from your books) this could be a wonderful combination?

John Bear: Approximately 75 cents for each one sold.
