Just noticed that two high-profile ministers are proudly displaying "Ph.D." behind their names: * Juanita Bynum, best-selling author of "No More Sheets," received her doctorate from Truth for Living Bible College of Jacksonville, Fla. * Clarence McClendon, bishop/pastor/televangelist, has one, but I can't trace the school. Any of you care to comment on this? --Roscoe
McClendon's bio doesn't mention any of his education. It does say that he is the founder and president of the Siloam Bible College and Clarence E. McClendon Leadership Institute. SBC is affiliated with Friends International Christian University, so I'd guess that FICU is a definite possibility for the source of McClendon's Ph.D. Hawaii recently investigated FICU, resulting in an injunction against their operation in Hawaii.
Roscoe: "Juanita Bynum, best-selling author of "No More Sheets," received her doctorate from Truth for Living Bible College of Jacksonville, Fla." I am intrigued to notice that the book seems to have two different subtitles, perhaps depending who is selling it. Amazon: No More Sheets: The Truth About Sex Other sites: No More Sheets: Wholeness through Holiness I thought it was from 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre': "I don' hov to take no more sheets from you."
