  1. Resume troubles hit home.

More examples of resume fraud amongst college coaching staff:
    • Mike Bernard - Fayetteville State men's basketball coach.
Patrick Ferguson - Campbell University women's soccer coach.
Linwood Faulk - St. Andrews assistant cross country coach.
David Smith - Methodist College basketball coach.
Halcyon "Tudy" Blake - Methodist College track coach.
The latter two were "mistakenly listed on their school's staff directory as having earned master's degrees" when in fact they are still candidates for the degrees.

Maybe it's time for a college coach "amnesty" program?

Sixty Three (63) coaches were investigated, with discrepancies found in four (4). This means 6.35% of the college coaches investigated had padded CV's.

Since I reside in NC, the guy whose CV stated he had played "one year of baseball" at UNC-Wilmington was especially humorous. He later said that when he signed up in the fall for baseball, he broke his ankle and didn't play after that. He told UNC-W officials that he had "played a little baseball." He then transfers to UNC-Greensboro, which is only a 30 minute commute from my home. WOW, I could have passed this guy on the Interstate without even knowing it. <grin>

I once read a college catalog from Harvard, so I guess that qualifies me to claim a Harvard degree. <larger grin>

Seriously, it would be interesting to see the results of a broader study which categorized the professions in terms of padded CV's, e.g.,

    Coaches
    Attorneys
    Physicians
    Ministers
    DegreeInfo Registrants
    Etc...
